With issues this year concerning shipments and shortages of overall products, I have decided to-adamantly quickly-publish a few of my gift giving guides. I will come back through these posts and share more details but I want to get the links and ideas out to everyone sooner rather than later!
Boys seem to be challenging to purchase for. Aisles, upon aisles, at toy stores seem to be lined with great ideas for girls, but only an aisle for legos and a cars and truck aisle for boys. There is so much more that interests boys then just these few things! Here are few staples we keep in our home that both boys- and girls alike play with.
An easy favorite that is also educational and perfect curious children is a snap circuit kit. My oldest feel in love with this in the classroom and asked for one for Christmas. It has held up well over the years to be handed down to siblings and she has loved showing them how they work. There are so many different versions! Here’s the one we have:
Picasso tiles. I swear you can never have too many of these!
Last year for Christmas I got the girls the race track one.
This year they will be getting the marble run version! I also just came across they have animals that can be added to the sets and vehicles as well! So cool!
Pearler Beads. I feel like this one doesn’t ever get mentioned for boys and I have no idea why not! Something to keep them busy with for hours and you can now even get themed ones like this Harry Potter version!
For your artsy children, these Buddha drawing tablets are great! They just use water!
Keva plank builders are such a simple idea. These are simple plain small plank boards that have so many creation opportunities!. A great open-ended gift option.
Nugget. These stay out of stock on the website, but Sams Club has come out with their own version-Explorer Sofa. And even though we don’t have the space, I kinda want to get one!

These two sound amazing and just might end up under our Christmas tree.
