I feel like I barely had a handle on 2024 before I blinked and in the night 2025 crept in. With each new year, I try to organize all the things, everything in my home. I always have such a false hope that a new planner will help me organize my life. I pick a word that will represent the year with what my hope is for the year’s representation. This year, it’s been hard to do that when I struggle to come to terms that it is indeed a new year! So, to adjust my mindset, today I was able to attend my first ever Vision Board Workshop. It was so much fun! And it did just the thing, it worked. It reset my mindset from 2024 to the future—uh, I mean to the present—-New Year 2025.

If you have never created a Vision Board before, I highly suggest it. And if you can attend a workshop that has everything you need all set up for you? Even better! This morning, I took a while to just think on what my hopes are for the year. I envisioned what my hope for 2025 is. What that may look like for me, my family and my career. And this sparked my creation of my vision board. A collage of career goals, life goals, family goals and more.
My good friend, Tiffany Edwards with TME Coaching, hosted a vision board workshop at one our local wineries. It was the most perfect way to start the new year! While I was there, I was able to set aside the time to get into the right mindset of goal making for the new year. I was able to meet new people and just really enjoy the new start a new year brings.
If you are a crafty like me, you may think, oh I can so do this at home—why would I attend a workshop? I have three reasons you should attend a vision board workshop!
- Will you actually carve out the time to create the vision board at home? Signing up for a workshop, sets up a definitive time to work on one with no excuses.
- All the supplies are not only already purchased, but everything is laid out for you! It was such an amazing experience to walk in and take a seat and everything was at my fingertips- from collage photos to glue sticks and scissors.
- The people you will meet! As I get older, I realize that more than the activities I do, it isn’t necessarily about the activity itself. Rather it’s more about the people I meet during these activities/events and the connections I make.
I also reminded myself, and I think you may find it a good reminder for yourself as well, that not all your goals and ambitions need to be shared with the world. Sometimes, you just need the reminder of what you are working towards, with no doubts and commentaries coming from the sidelines, from those who are just waiting for you to fail.

And guess what? You will fail. But the way to not feel like a failure is to not give up! Don’t give in! Tweak what didn’t work and keep doing what is working! And success is sure to come! 2025 is going to be an amazing year for my family. I have set the bar high. I know the enemy will be coming for me, but in the name of Jesus, I rebuke him and his attempts. My family and I will succeed in meeting our 2025 goals!
I would love to support you in meeting your goals this year. If you would like to share them in the comments, please feel free to do so. If you would like to share them privately with me, please feel free to email me or message me on social media. I promise you, I will be your biggest cheerleader and prayer warrior!
